The PFL Challenger Series wrapped up its 2023 run on Friday night in Orlando, Florida with a quartet of “second chance” fights.
With a spot in the league’s regular season on the line, eight fighters across four weight classes threw down for one last chance to make it to the big leagues this year. Among those in action, women’s featherweight Jackie Cataline, with a 2-1 record heading into her fourth fight in the promotion. Despite a win earlier in the year, she had failed to pick up the coveted contract, but had another shot at the returning Evelyn Martins.
In the featured fight of the evening, Kendley St. Louis returned, in a would-be lightweight fight shifted to a catchweight when “The Highlander” came in heavy at Thursday’s weigh in. He was paired up with Paulo “Laia” Henrique, who dropped a split decision against Manoel Sousa earlier in the year.
